Big Game 11
Harlequins V Wasps
Saturday 29th December - Twickenham Stadium (kick-off 16:00)

Following last year’s seven-try haul against Northampton Saints, celebrating a decade of Big Game, Harlequins will be hoping for another victory over their historic rivals; Wasps.

In 2017/18, the teams met four times across all competitions, each proving to be free-flowing, frenetic encounters, with an average of over 55 points scored in each match.

In terms of Big Game legacy, the two clubs share a similarly dramatic history. In 2009 Harlequins were downed 20-21 by the visitors in a hard-fought fixture, with points from the boot of Danny Cipriani and Dave Walder being the deciding factor between the teams. This encounter set a record Premiership attendance at the time, with 76,716 descending on the home of English Rugby.

Since its beginnings in 2008, the Big Game series at Twickenham Stadium has rapidly risen in popularity and is now a firm fixture in the festive sporting calendar. The Twickenham Stoop has had a weekend off every December as Harlequins travel across the A316 to swap their famous home for the headquarters of English rugby.

Celebrating its eleventh instalment, this season's is set to be the best one yet on a day which provides so much more than just a rugby match.

Big Game prides itself on being a day out for all the family as the rugby and entertainment world collide with spectacular musical performances, jaw-dropping pyrotechnics and entertainment for all the family.

Over the years, acts including Scouting for Girls, EXTREME Sports, Olly Murs, Rudimental, Sam Bailey and Lawson have all performed at Big Game where television personalities Mark Wright and Vernon Kay have both MC’d the event.

This year’s entertainment is set to bigger and better than anything that has gone before it and is destined to get tens of thousands of supporters excited for what is set to be another classic Big Game. Keep your eyes peeled to quins.co.uk for more information on this year’s entertainment.
