Player biography

Alofa was born in Auckland but emigrated to Australia aged four years old. A rugby league convert, Alofa made his union debut playing for West Harbour. An excellent try scoring record for West Harbour saw him grab the attention of Michael Cheika while he was in charge of NSW Waratahs.

Alofa played a single season for Waratahs, running in five tries, before moving to Europe and joining up with La Rochelle.

In the autumn of 2014, Alofa made his international debut for Samoa. Despite being born in New Zealand and available to play for the Wallabies due to residency, he was eligible through his Samoan parents.

Alofa played for Top 14 side La Rochelle for two seasons, scoring seven tries before joining up with Harlequins for the 2016/17 season. With 56 appearances across only two seasons, Alofa is one of the most regular and consistent performers in the Quins ranks. One of the Club's exceptional international contingent, the versatile back was capped again by his country in the 2018 Pacific Nations Cup.
